What's With All These Spectrums?
You might just be familiar with CBD strains, but it won’t hurt to want to go deeper in your knowledge of CBD—It’s a good thing to seek knowledge. The fact that you’re reading this shows that you know a thing or two already and want to know more. It’s commendable that you’d take this much effort to understand the right CBD product for you. Back to business. Full Spectrum, Broad spectrum, and CBD Isolate are all extracts known as concentrates.
FULL SPECTRUM, BROAD SPECTRUM, AND CBD ISOLATE
AREN’T THEY ALL HEMP EXTRACTS?
Yes, they are, but they are not all the same. They are extracted from the same plant but are created differently to suit your needs.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CBD & THC?
I’m trying to make this as simple as possible, so I’ll just go straight to the point. THC is what makes you high while CBD doesn’t get you high. CBD has many benefits and has been used to make many products like CBD Oils and other CBD based products. To understand the differences between Full Spectrum, Broad spectrum, and CBD Isolate, it’s essential to know what they are individually.
Full-spectrum CBD contains all the natural extracts that come from the hemp extract. They include flavonoids, terpenes, plant sterols, fatty acids, and essential oils—and the 0.3 THC. These are the properties that come fresh from the extracts without processing it and reducing its concentration. They are more expensive than the others because of their prices and the processes taken to maintain the CBD/THC ratio. They are best for individuals living in areas where cannabis is legal because traces would show in a urine test due to the THC present.
The broad spectrum contains all the natural hemp extract like include flavonoids, terpenes, plant sterols, fatty acids, and essential oils. What is missing from the broad spectrum is the THC. Many people refer to it as the midpoint between the full-spectrum and the isolate CBD, which it is by the way. Mind you, they all come as full-spectrum, but as they get processed, some of these properties get removed. For the broad spectrum, the THC gets extracted. But due to the different types of cannabinoids present, it tends to give the user what is called the entourage effect but no psychoactive effects.
Isolate CBD is cannabinoid, in its purest form. It has a purity of 99.9%. To achieve this, the other extracts like the flavonoids, terpenes, plant sterols, fatty acids, and essential oils would be extracted through a process called winterization process to make it purely CBD. It is not as demanding as the Broad spectrum or the full-spectrum because it doesn’t produce an entourage effect. You just benefit from the cannabinoid.
ALWAY CHECK LAB REPORTS
Lab Test are important for all CBD products because it helps define the cannabinoid profile. Lab test also show if there are any harmful chemicals in your CBD.
